This weekend and next, Market Collective will be holding their Christmas showcase complete with artists, artisans, and an array of local musicians throughout the weekend.

Buy local! Support your local merchants this holiday season!

Market Collective's are all held at the old ANt Hill building on the corner of 2nd ave and 10st NW in Kensington (1 block South from the Sunnyside train station). $3 entry.

We're all about collaboration here at CGYart.ca. If you an event that you'd like us to promo on our blog then please drop us an email, or you can use the form below.

Please DO NOT create a CGYart.ca blog if you already have a website and you just want to copy verbatim your existing content. That will get you a swift kick to the trash can!

CgyArt.ca is a unique enterprise geared to connect a multitude of different artists from Calgary and area in a single online location. There are similar ventures online that attempt to draw similar artists into the same community but two things are missing: they generally aren't focused to one geographic area, and they focus on one single artistic expression.

Some painters will be over here, photographers on flickr, musicians on Myspace, and so on.

We've just updated our library with over 50 wordpress themes to bring the total FREE themes to our artists to over 150. There's something for everyone and you don't have to pay a cent to get a blog that has more options, power, and exposure than any other free blogging platform online. If you're from this city then this is your place to showcase your contributions!
